Tony's is exactly what you expect it to be in the best way possible. They know exactly what kind of restaurant they are and they do a great job at it. The menu has your standard family run Italian place items at a very reasonable price. The meals were hearty enough to be comforting but super fresh and bright. We got the bruschetta pizza and marinara meat tortellini which were both great and had large portions. Tony's earned its 5th star with its service. Insanely attentive and polite service. Felt like we were at a family gathering! Couldn't have asked for a better vibe for a rainy night dinner!
I love their eggplant parmesan and get it every time I visit. Their red sauce is great. The service was good but the server was in training and was struggling. A few little mistakes but easy to correct. A comfortable ambiance which is great. A steady flow of customers which was nice to see. I have been here many times and will be back many more.
A non-corporate business is always special in my eyes. Tony's Italian Restaurant is a Richmond gem. While not much to the eyes on the outside, on the inside it opens to a world of mom and pop memories from my hometown! Firstly, I need to point out that the staff is incredible! Maria was our waitress and when I say she was the best, I am not kidding! She was incredibly attentive, was helpful with menu options, and was a very joyful person. The food was overall good, and was worth the price for the amount you receive. I would happily recommend Tony's to anyone looking for good Italian food in the Richmond area.
Came here with a few colleagues after a busy day of officiating basketball. The staff were friendly and my cheesesteak wrap was really good! I would definitely come here again. Of course I forgot to take a picture of my food!
I can't praise this little restaurant enough! We had the pleasure of being helped by Bernadette and she made this a 5 star (and more) experience. If "fantastic server with a wonderful personality and caring attitude" had a picture, it would be Bernadette. The courses came quickly and tasted amazing! I got the ravioli and my partner got the ziti, both of which were wonderful. The cauliflower pizza was the best one I've ever had and despite it being a little out of the way, I'm so glad we stopped through on the way home to Hampton Roads.
Stopped in here while we were visiting RVA and the food was absolutely amazing. The environment was quaint and inviting. Our server, Bernadette, did an amazing job with us and was very attentive. The Italian dressing was some of the best I ever had and the cauliflower crust was phenomenal. Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for some quality, inexpensive Italian food!
Tony's is a typical, small Italian restaurant offering pizza, subs, pastas, and the standard veal/chicken dishes. The food is good, the prices reasonable, the Owner friendly and the waitstaff is stable and professional. It's a great place when you're craving some Italian, but are not looking for a big evening out.
